There is a steady rise in the number of child pornography cases registered and arrests in India.

Across India, the number of cases stood at 99 in 2007, 105 in 208 and 139 in 2009, Minister of State for Home M. Ramachandran told the Lok Sabha.

The tally for arrests was 86 in 2007, 90 in 2008 and 141 in 2009.

In the same period, Kerala and Maharashtra accounted for most cases and arrests, the minister said.

Maharashtra registered 27, 17 and 25 child pornography cases in the three years respectively. For Kerala, the figures were 20, 39 and 44.

L.A. area porn filming halted after performer tests positive for HIV!

An adult film performer has tested HIV-positive, prompting a temporary shutdown of productions across the Los Angeles area until further testing is completed.

"Until we know for sure, we've asked the industry to have a moratorium on production," said Diane Duke, executive director of the Free Speech Coalition, a Canoga Park-based porn industry trade group.

Duke's group became aware of the possible HIV case Saturday. Duke would not say how her group learned about the case and did not release the name, age or gender of the performer, citing medical privacy laws.

She said she notified adult film production companies Monday morning that a performer had tested positive and urged them to temporarily halt productions until further tests were completed.

All the company officials she spoke with, including those at well-known studios such as Hustler Video and Evil Angel, agreed to the temporary shutdown, she said.

Production companies referred questions about the moratorium to Duke.

Duke's group was notifying actors known to have performed with the potentially infected person so they could get tested, she said.

Porn blamed for ‘designer vagina’ epidemic amongst young women!

Young women are increasingly seeking cosmetic genital surgery to make their vaginas match pornographic images, a new study has found.

Researchers at the Elizabeth Garret Anderson Hospital, London, found that the number of labial reduction procedures in the National Health Service has increased five fold in the past 10 years.

This is the first study looking specifically at the labial dimensions of women seeking cosmetic surgery.

The researchers looked at 33 women seeking the operation, whose average age was 23, and found that they all had normal-sized labia minora, with an average width of 26.9 mm (right), and 24.8 mm (left).

Only three had a significant assymetry for which surgery would be appropriate. But 40 per cent of them still keen to pursue the operation, mostly because they wanted to make their labia smaller ‘to improve appearance’.

Other reasons included reducing discomfort, improving confidence and wanting to improve sexual intercourse.

According to the Independent, women are “bombarded with images suggesting they were not normal”, including websites advertising female genital cosmetic surgery which presented idealised images of the perfect vagina.

A US man who hacked into his neighbors' Wi-Fi network and tried to frame them with child pornography and threatening emails to the US vice president has been sentenced to 18 years in jail.

US District Judge Donovan Frank sentenced Barry Ardolf, 46, on Tuesday after listening to the tearful testimony of Bethany Kostolnik, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

"My husband and I had to explain to our young, innocent children way too early that there are evil people in the world - and to never go in Barry Ardolf's yard," she said, according to the newspaper.

"Until Ardolf was incarcerated, not a day went by that I didn't think about another attack," her husband Matt Kostolnik said.

"Barry Ardolf has demonstrated by his conduct that he is a dangerous man," US attorneys prosecuting the case said in court documents.

• A US jail inmate has filed a lawsuit against the Macomb County Jail claiming that the prison is depriving him of pornography.
  The 21-year-old said he is being subjected to cruel and unusual punishment and that his civil rights are being violated, reports the Daily Express.
  In a hand-written lawsuit, Richards said denying his request for erotic material subjects him to a ‘poor standard of living’ and ‘sexual and sensory deprivation’.

• School-supplied netbook computers are being used by Australian children, as young as 10, to gain access to pornography.
  It was found that at least five students at one country primary school were caught watching porn on the machines at home.
  One angry father, who was not named, said he was shocked to walk in and see ‘full-on’ images on the screen in his grade 5 son’s bedroom, and that his son was embarrassed.
  “I went into his room and I couldn’t believe it. He was a bit sheepish,” the Herald Sun quoted him as saying.
  The father said he’d been led to believe the computer, leased from Ouyen P-12 College, had filtering software, but he found out the school filtered the net only on its wireless network.
  After the man raised his concerns with the school council, a check of students’ Internet browser histories revealed at least another four students had either deliberately or accidentally surfed porn websites.
  Ouyen P-12 College principal Leanne Dawes said the school had technical advice that filtering software on the computers would clash with its own wireless Internet security system, blocking students’ access to educational material.

I hate discussing this kind of subject in my blog but the man who taught his own version of Islamic tenets (twisting all the interpretations of “Quran”, someone who used to make hate-speeches of the USA of for exploiting the women’s bodies (according to ‘The Times’) while all the while marrying one after the other women which number went up to twelve by the time he was killed (against the written stricture of ‘Quran’, of limiting the number of one’s wives to only four), the person who proscribed his children to join his version of Jihad, while all the while brain-washing, training, arming, funding and sending out teams of bombers on suicide-mission to kill, mostly, the innocent, unarmed and unaware citizens of various cities across the global nations, that one man who taught high morals deserved to be discussed what he taught and what he actually practiced.

Today’s ‘The Hindu’ report, “Pornography in Osama files, say reports” (http://www.hindu.com/2011/05/15/stories/2011051557741700.htm) quote ‘The New York Times’ cited unnamed U.S. officials confirming the stash, but they declined to say whether there was evidence that bin Laden himself or the other men living in the house had acquired or viewed the materials.  [Then who else would have been watching it?].
