Expressing displeasure over CBI's inaction in the probe into the Adarsh Society missing files case, the Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed the agency to speed up its investigation and show some "results".
"We are very displeased. You (CBI) please do the investigations properly and get results. Reasons like officers are busy cannot be accepted," a division bench of justices Ranjana Desai and R V More remarked while hearing a public interest litigation filed by one Mahendra Singh.
The court also expressed anger over the fact that four accused got bail as the CBI did not file its charge sheet on time.
The court's remarks came when CBI counsel D N Salvi informed that certain hard disks seized from the office of the Urban Development department in Mantralaya, from where the files went missing, are yet to be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Hyderabad.
According to CBI, while duplicates of the certain pages have been found, probe is still on to find out the missing notesheets pertaining to Adarsh Society. "The notesheets were typed in some computers, the hard disks of which have been seized with a view to retrieve the material," Salvi said.

MISSING CELINA CASS CASE: Autopsy inconclusive - officials say!

For LEED Consultancy, Green Building Design, Green Homes, Green Factory Buildings, Green SEZs, Green Townships,

By Peter Schworm, Globe Staff, boston.com / 08/02/2011 8:57 PM.

Medical examiners who performed an autopsy today on the body of Celina Cass have yet to determine how the 11-year-old girl died, authorities said this evening.

“The cause and manner are still pending,” Jane E. Young, New Hampshire’s senior assistant Attorney General said at a news conference tonight.

Examiners are awaiting “toxicology results and further investigation,” she said.

Investigators had concluded Celina’s death was suspicious after seeing the condition of the body, which was recovered yesterday afternoon from a dam on the Connecticut River, just a quarter-mile from her family’s home.

Young declined to comment on what the autopsy found, but said the criminal investigation remains active. She said she could not answer questions about the condition of the body, saying it was necessary to preserve the “integrity of the investigation.” She declined to say how long her body had been in the water, but said its submersion played a role in the autopsy.

She declined to comment on how toxiciology tests would help determine the cause of death.

“We are doing everything we can to have more definitive answers,” she said.

MISSING CELINA CASS CASE: body found in river in northern New England

By the CNN Wire Staff / August 2, 2011 -- Updated 0119 GMT (0919 HKT).

The body of Celina Cass, 11, was found in the Connecticut River near the Canadian border Monday.
The body of Celina Cass, 11, was found in the Connecticut River near the Canadian border Monday.

(CNN) -- One week after 11-year-old Celina Cass was last seen, her body was found Monday by divers searching the Connecticut River, New Hampshire Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said.

"We have brought Celina home, not the way we wanted to bring her home," Young said early Monday evening.

The girl's father, Adam Laro, said he was heartbroken and grasping for answers after hearing the news.

"I ... can't believe what's gone on," Laro told HLN's "Nancy Grace" show on Monday night. "I have no fingers to point ... I hope there will be some answers, that's what I'm asking."

Young said that the case -- which had been considered a "missing persons" case -- is now being investigated as a "suspicious death." No one has been arrested or named publicly as a suspect in what is now a criminal investigation.

"Based on what we have seen visually, we are treating it as suspicious," the official said.

Celina's body was found around 10:30 a.m. Monday by divers from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department near a hydroelectric plant outside West Stewartstown, New Hampshire, according to the attorney general's office.

Young described it as a "routine search because of the proximity to (Celina's) home," about one-quarter mile away. The site is also near the Canadian border, where the Connecticut River forms the border between New Hampshire and Vermont.

The discovery came a day after Laro -- who was in the hospital when Celina went missing -- said that he was like others

"wondering where my daughter is" and hoping she was safe.

On Monday night, the father thanked all those authorities and residents who had put their time and effort into finding Celina.

Many fathers and mothers in Delhi, especially from the working class, are coping with a sudden vacuum in their lives: their children have disappeared. Seven kids have gone missing here every day on an average over the past month and a half, according to official figures.
The data, as sourced from the Zonal Integrated Police Network (ZIPNet) and compiled by child rights NGO Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA), says 331 children have gone missing from Delhi in the period between June 1, 2011, until July 18.
"Over the past one and a half months, seven children have been going missing every day in Delhi! What is even more shocking is the low rate of recovery by police," Kailash Satyarthi of BBA said.

NATO said one of its unmanned drones disappeared over Libya on Tuesday, refuting reports that forces loyal to leader Muammar Qadhafi had shot down an alliance attack helicopter.

Libyan state television repeatedly broadcast images of what appeared to be aircraft wreckage, including shots of a red rotor and close—ups of markings in English.

It quoted an unnamed Libyan military official saying a NATO Apache attack helicopter crashed in Zlitan, about 85 miles (135 kilometers) east of the capital Tripoli. The report claimed it was the fifth Apache that had been downed, a charge NATO denied.

Wing Cmdr. Mike Bracken, an alliance spokesman, said NATO instead lost radar contact with an unmanned helicopter drone on Tuesday morning along the coast in central Libya, and is investigating the incident. He said the drone was performing an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission.

“This is the first piece of hardware that I am aware of that has been lost” since NATO’s air campaign began, Wing Cmdr. Bracken said. A U.S. F—15E jet crashed near the rebel stronghold of Benghazi in March before NATO assumed command of the international intervention in Libya.

In war, you have lost a drone chopper, you have lost it; why deny it?

As many as 550 fishermen in 33 trawlers went missing in the Bay of Bengal on Friday in rough weather due to heavy rains triggered by a depression, prompting a search by a Coastguard ship and a Dornier aircraft.
The trawlers had set sail from Kakdwip and adjacent areas in South 24-Parganas district yesterday and was reported missing in heavy rains following the depression lying 80 km east of Kolkata, District Magistrate N S Nigam told PTI over phone.
A Coastguard ship and a Dornier aircraft were despatched to trace the trawlers but the search was being “hindered by low-level high speed air circulation and low clouds”, Defence sources said.
Hasn't MetDepartment alerted them in advance, of the depression?

250-300 Farmers have been kidnapped by Mayawathi Police, in Villages, Bhatta & Parsaul, near Agra, UP!

Brickbats, Bouquets & Backfeeds are welcome on prmadhura@yahoo.com

Farmers' fury over land takeover spread Sunday to Agra in Uttar Pradesh as the number of dead in clashes with security forces in Greater Noida rose to four, officials said. Angry farmers in Agra's Etmadpur tehsil went on a rampage on Sunday, pelting stones at police and setting fire to vehicles and setting fire to vehicles and furniture of the Jaypee group's Yamuna Express Highway camp office.

The bone of contention between the farmers and the UP Government has been that they should be paid the fair market price, for the lands acquired by the Government for the abvoe project, where as the Mayawathi has chosen to quell the matter as a law and order issue and started terrorising them.  The police violence that began at Greater NOIDA has soon spread to Chalesar,Etmadpur and Bhatta Parsaul.

Now in Bhatta & Parsaul villages, there are no men and women and children confirm that the police have taken all of them and also deny that they have done so.

An explanation from Mayawathi the CM of UP and Mr. Karamveer Singh, Director General of Police should come out with explanation, as to the whereabouts of those missing farmers of Bhatta Parsual village.
