PAK CAULDRON: Five top LeT militants shot down in Kupwara!

PTI / The Hindu / SRINAGAR, July 16, 2011.

Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba suffered a major setback as security personnel shot down five of its top terrorists, including three self-styled divisional commanders, during an encounter in the border district of Kupwara on Friday.
The five LeT militants were killed after a day-long encounter which ended Friday night after a massive explosion rocked a house at a village Maidanpora in Lolab area of the district, a police spokesman said.
The militants have been identified as Saqib alias Sohail, LeT’s divisional commander for North Kashmir, Hamad alias Haneef, divisional commander for Kupwara and Qari Saifullah, divisional commander for Central Kashmir, he said.
The militants were killed in the encounter which began early Friday. Charred bodies of the ultras were recovered from the debris of the house where they were hiding at the village. Five AK-47 rifles have also been recovered from the scene of the encounter.
The other two militants killed in the encounter are Chotta Saad, battalion commander of LeT and Umair alias Hafiz, the spokesman said.

KASHMIR: Militancy’s changing graph!

Have you read, “Mayhem of the Miserables!” available @ http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52075

HT Correspondent, Hindustan Times / Srinagar, June 08, 2011.

Militancy in Kashmir is witnessing a tectonic shift. While the indigenous militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) is taking over from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the militants are shifting their base from traditional stronghold to less suspect places.   A survey conducted by security agencies, a copy of which lies with the Hindustan Times, points towards migration of militants towards less suspect areas, like chief minister Omar Abdullah’s stronghold constituency, Ganderbal district.

From the usual militant hubs like south Kashmir’s Kulgam area, there are less militants there than perceived in peaceful areas like Ganderbal, where around 16 militants are active, with seven local boys and four suspected to be outsiders. Kulgam area has only 13 militants.

Another quirky revelation is that Srinagar has more militants than Shopian district, which once was a militancy hotbed. There are 14 militants active in Srinagar, belying inspector general of police SM Sahai’s contention of zero militancy, and only 13 in Shopian.

Interesting developments, to be dealt with caution!

ISI Tentacles: Manmohan: nothing new in Headley trial!

Kindly review “Mayhem of the Miserables!” @ http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52075

SIDDHARTH VARADARAJAN / The hindu.

"But Pakistani leadership must now wake up to terror threat"
Self-confessed Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist David Coleman Headley's ongoing court testimony — in which he has implicated individuals allegedly connected to Pakistan's intelligence agency in the November 2008 terror attack on Mumbai — has not brought out anything India did not already know, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Saturday.

He also said he would continue to use the bilateral dialogue process to press home the demand that Islamabad take action to curb the activities of jihadi groups and would also mobilise world opinion to ensure the “terror machinery” in Pakistan was effectively controlled.
Speaking to journalists on his way back from a week-long visit to Africa, Dr. Singh said that even though the Headley trial had not brought out anything new, his government would study the proceedings once it was over. But he gave no indication that a rethink of the current dialogue-based policy towards Pakistan was on the cards. “It goes without saying that we must use every possible opportunity to talk to Pakistan and convince them that terror as an instrument of state policy is simply not acceptable to people in the civilised world as a whole. And as Pakistan's neighbour, we have great worries about the terror machine that is still intact [there].”

01) Yes, Indian Intelligence Sources - both Technical and Human - have been giving us the daily commentary on those nefarious activities of ISI & Pak Military Administration.

02) The only difference is, now at Chicago Trail of Rana, one eye witness and the evidences produced by the prosecution together are telling the world the story of decades in a few weeks time!

Price of Hospitality, the Pak Terrorist Way: Father-son duo shot dead by militants!

Kindly read "Mayhem of the Miserables!" @ http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52075

Srinagar:  Militants shot dead a man and his son in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, officials said on Saturday.

Heavily-armed militants barged into the house of Ghulam Rasool Mir at Bawan-Rajwar in Handwara area of Kupwara, 100 kms from Kupwara, last night and fired indiscriminately on the inmates, they said.

Mir and his son Manzoor Ahmad were killed on the spot.

They enter locals homes, forcefully, satiate their thirst and hunger, sometime misbehave with the ladies and kill the men.  This is the Islamic Ethics taught in Pak Madarsas and by the Pak Military and ISI.
This I call is the nadir of human values!

Why are we ignoring ISI-LeT nexus: US Senator!

Kindly read "Mayhem of the Miserables!" @ http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52075

I cannot comprehend how the United States can ignore the irrefutable nexus between the Pakistani military's intelligence ISI and the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Tayiba as once again conclusively established by the testimony of Pakistani American and Lashkar operative David Coleman Headley at the ongoing trial of his handler Tahawwur Hussain Rana in Chicago, a US Senator has said.

Maryland Democrat Ben Cardin, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said, "Clearly, the United States has a great interest in Pakistan" and that no one is "suggesting that can we ignore Pakistan."

But speaking at a hearing of the Foreign Relations Committee, Cardin said, "There are mixed signals here that are very, very troubling and that the United States needs to be able to have alternatives for carrying out its foreign policy in that region."

There has been loads of talk on this, but no concrete action by US, as they believe they need Pak's ISI.

Last updated on: May 27, 2011 20:34 IST.

Office of the Jyllands-Posten daily, which published controversial cartoons on Prophet Mohammed
Working on a plot more sinister than the Mumbai attack, David Headley and his Pakistani handlers, Illyas Kashmiri in particular, were to behead the heads of the hostages and throw the heads out of the window for their planned terrorist strike in Copenhagen.

Thank God, we are saved from witnessing it!

The assault team members were told they were expected to die in the attack on Mumbai — rather than escape as earlier planned. The LeT chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed told the 10-member assault team: your "bloodstains would be rose petals"
Lashkar-e-Taiba supreme commander Hafiz Muhammad Saeed told the 10-member assault team, which attacked Mumbai in November 2008, that “being shot would feel like a pinprick, bloodstains would be like rose petals, and that angels would come down to take their souls.”

Saeed's exhortation, revealed in documents filed by prosecutors in the ongoing trial of Chicago-based terror suspect Tahawwur Rana, was made after the assault team members were told they were expected to die in the attack on Mumbai — rather than escape as earlier planned.

Like all agitational political leaders, Saeed too make others give their lives for their mad causes, while they themselves would always be safe, far away from the danger point.  It is the gullible who become pawns in this crazy game!
