Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh):  Like several of his visits to Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi's destination was not made clear till the very last minute.

The Congress General Secretary visited Lakhimpur Kheri, a three-hour drive from Lucknow and spent a little over an hour with the family whose teen daughter was found hanging at a police station earlier this month.  Her parents say she was raped, then killed.  The post-mortem reports do not establish that she was sexually assaulted.

A series of rapes this month have forced Chief Minister Mayawati to confront accusations that her government and police force are failing women in UP.  She has not visited this family. Uttar Pardesh votes next year, and political parties led protest marches in Lucknow this week to highlight the weaknesses in  Mayawati's governance.

How can Mayawathi meet families of rape and / or murder victims?

If she has to do that, she needs take a Chopper and hop from village to village, whole day, forgetting administration of state!

Anyway, she is not doing any meaningful administration either!

LAKHIMPUR, UP Police Brutality: Girl raped, murdered by cops: Scheduled Castes panel!

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes on Friday accused policemen of raping and killing the Lakhimpur teenager, even as the Uttar Pradesh government filed a status report before the Allahabad high court on the CB-CID probe into the incident. The Commission, which had visited Lakhimpur Kheri recently to inquire into the death of the 14-year-old girl in Nighasan police station, spoke to the parents of the victim and made an on-the-spot assessment.

After the inquiry, the Commission concluded that the girl was raped and strangulated and later hanged from a tree in order to pass it off as a suicide, the NCSC said in a release.

Director of the UP officer of the NCSC, RD Chandrahas, who visited Nighasan on June 14, went through the General Diary, "panchnama" and FIR and on its basis concluded that the girl was raped by policemen.

Why the testimony of the victim's kid brother who was accompanying her at the time police confronting them and that of Mother who noticed several injuries on the body of the victim have not been recorded, yet, by a Magistrate?

LAKHIMPUR: Police today ruled out that the 14-year-old girl, who was found hanging inside the premises of a police station here, was murdered citing the post mortem report, even as the NHRCsaid it would send a team to look into allegations of rape.

"The post mortem report mentioned asphyxia, as a result of hanging, the cause of death which rules out the allegation of murder," Superintendent of police DK Rai said.

He said other than that from hanging, there was no injury mark on the victim's body. There was a minor abrasion on her right leg.

"To confirm the second allegation of rape, a slide had been sent to women hospital for testing and a final conclusion will be drawn only after the report is received," the SP said. The victim's mother in her complaint had alleged that the girl was raped and murdered.

He said the post mortem was conducted by a panel of three doctors and the procedure was video-recorded to avoid any doubt. 

01)  Hindi News Channels have, already, captured the interview of the kid brother of the murdered girl testifying that he was asked to go home, while she was raped and hanged, by the Nighasan Police Station Staff!

02)  Hope this kid will not be murdered by the police, to protect their clan of rapists and murderers!!

03)  And also hope the Channels Reporting Staff would be safe from the police!!!
