- After weeks of speculation, micro-blogging site Twitter has acquired Tweetdeck, a London-based start up that helps users view and organise the 140-character Tweets.The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. However, certain reports said the transaction is valued at USD 40-50 million.In a blog post, Tweetdeck's Iain Dodsworth, the British designer and programmer who founded the web site, said Tweetdeck has been focussed on providing "high-quality tools and services for the Twitter-centric power-user."
