MT Pavit which drifted aground following engine failure, at the Juhu beach in Mumbai - PTI.

The Directorate of Shipping today said a salvage operation to re-float the oil tanker M T Pavit will be undertaken soon as the owners have identified professional salvors.

A salvage company has been identified and the owners and hull and machinery underwriters are likely to enter into a formal contract with it soon, a DGS statement said.

"The salvage operation is, therefore, likely to commence soon, subject to the favorable tidal window and sea and weather conditions," it said, without giving an exact time-line for the same.

New Delhi: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev arrived in New Delhi on Sunday, three weeks after being evicted from the capital for his protest fast against black money. Ramdev returned to meet one of his followers, Rajbala, who was injured in the police crackdown at Ramlila Maidan on June 5.

He thanked his supporters at a press conference on Sunday evening saying that the entire world saw the injustice done to women and children at the crackdown.

On being asked about the condition of Rajbala he said that she is in such a state that if she recuperates it would be nothing short of a miracle. "If the police says they didn't hit her, then who did? She is on a ventilator. If she lives, she won’t be able to walk again," he said.

But, are there anybody willing to take his allegations of murder attempt on him, seriously, given his assets being investigated and his close associate, Balkrishna being probed for holding fake pass port?

Murder Attempt on Akbaruddin Owaisi: Pahelwan was to join it!

May 11: The Central Crime Station’s investigation into the murderous attack on the MIM MLA, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, found that Mohammed Pahelwan, the prime accused, had rushed to Barkas to take part in the attack.

However, by the time he reached the spot, the attack had already taken place and he only found his own men in a pool of blood.In his confession, Mohammed Pahelwan said, “We had planned to elimianted Akbaruddin. On April 30, he came to Barkas to inaugurate the boundary wall of the graveyard. At about 10.30 am, Akbar, while passing by our house, abused my brothers’ son Ibrahim. He had signaled with his fingers that he will see his (Ibrahim’s) ‘end.’
