Gurgaon: Three days after he was admitted to Medanta Medicity hospital in Gurgaon, following he broke his 12-day fast demanding a strong Lokpal bill, Gandhian Anna Hazare on Wednesday was discharged from the hospital and left for Pune enroute his native village in Maharashtra.

He was discharged this evening after his vital parameters were found to be stable.

Hazare left through the rear entrance apparently to avoid the glare of the media which was present in strength outside the hospital premises.

Shortly after he was discharged from the hospital, the 74-year-old Gandhian flew out of the capital in a scheduled commercial flight of a private airline.

He reached Pune Airport at around 11:15 pm. People gathered in large numbers to welcome him at the airport. Police had a tough time in keeping at bay the crowd which thronged the airport.
