• Yemeni forces arrive to comb the district, where battles between powerful dissident tribal leader Sheikh Sadiq al-Ahmar's fighters were battling government forces in the Yemeni capital Sanaa - AFP.

• Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh, wounded in an explosion at his Sanaa compound on Friday, underwent two surgical operations 'with success' in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, an official told the media.
  He will return home after a two-week period of convalescence.
