JD(S) leader H. D. Deve Gowda on Saturday said he would stage a dharna in front of Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa’s official residence in Bangalore on June 27 to protest the “raw deal” meted out to his home district of Hassan by the BJP government.
In the last three years, Mr. Yeddyurappa has not released funds for development programmes in Hassan, Mr. Gowda, who was elected to Lok Sabha from the district, told reporters. MLAs, MLCs and MPs will also join the dharna, he added.
