New Delhi, May 29(ANI): The Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a silent rebellion in favour of a separate state, said Rama Krishna Reddy, member of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) on Sunday.
Addressing a seminar in New Delhi, Reddy said that political parties such as the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre and the state opposition, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), have lost control.
"The political elite in Telangana whether it is Congress, TDP or any other party has lost control of villages. The villages are firm. What we are seeing is a silent rebellion against a whole idea of a united state and in favour of a separate Telangana," Reddy said.
Whatever was the history, this issue has been burning for too long, while UPA dilly dallies on the final call.
