Lucknow: The Mayawati government has hit back at Rahul Gandhi over his claims that several farmers were killed during the farmers' agitation in Bhatta and Parsaul villages of Greater Noida and their bodies burnt to destroy the evidence of police atrocities.
Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar on Thursday alleged that Rahul's claims were false and no mass murder took place in the two villages. Shekhar also rubbished Rahul's statement that several women were raped in Bhatta and Parsaul.
Yes, there is no evidence so far of any such rape; but can Mayawathi Government deny the Police Brutality against the framers of Bhatta and Parsaul villages of Greater Noida of beating the women, men, old, middle-aged and all sundry without any discrimination or of burning properties there?
