Post Supreme Court's Ruling, Governor need not hurry to impose President Rule!

Brickbats, Bouquets & Backfeeds are welcome on prmadhura@yahoo.com

It appears Governor of Karnataka, Mr. H.R. Bharadwaj appears to have lost sight of the legal implications of his decision to bring in President's Rule, in that state.

In a Democratically elected Assembly, the Person who enjoys the majority stays as Chief Minister, and as of this state it appears that Mr. B.S. Yediyurappa enjoys the majority, albeit with the support of 11 MLA, who not long ago were illegally disqualified by the Speaker.  The test of it can be conducted only on the floor of the State Assembly and not in the Raj Bhavan or in the 'South Block' (the office of the Union Home Ministry).

His crimes of De-Notifying the Government lands to handover them to his Sons and other Associates can be dealt with the State's Lok Ayukta and other enforcing agencies (State as well as Central) and the Investigating Commissions and if they all fail by the Courts of India.

I hope the UPA's Governor will not commit another Constitutional blunder to right a wrong of his Chief Minister.
