One of the many gory visuals of the dead civilians in the final phases of the Eelam war in north Lanka shown in ‘Killing Fields’ video of Channel Four.

The horrific visuals of the British Channel Four video, ‘Killing Fields’, repeatedly telecast by a TV channel to stunned homes across the country have brought fresh pressure upon the Indian Government to act firmly against Colombo for delivering justice to the minority Tamils in the island nation.
The outrage was particularly loud in Chennai where the news channel held a public ‘hearing’ along with the screening, where some well-known persons shared the dais and hotly contested the defence put out by the Sri Lankan spokesman Maj Gen Ubaya Medawale, linked on satellite line from Colombo, that the video was a fake.
“I sat through the Killing Fields video. The gross inhumanity unleashed on the civilians was shocking to say the least. What were the UN and other international agencies doing, apart from watching on helplessly? For some strange.
reason, I wanted the dead souls to know that I know what they went through. This is the least I could do for them”, said Jyoti.
Swaroop, a senior education consultant in Chennai. “Will there be a fall out? Will something be done to get Sri Lanka to pay in some way? I can’t get over the fact that my life went on when close by,
such atrocities were happening”, she said, reflecting what went through thousands of minds watching the TV show on Friday night.
The video is being simultaneously shown in several cities across the world in a new ‘offensive’ by the Tamil Diaspora in a bid to bring pressure on the UN and prominent nations to launch war crimes prosecution against the offenders in the Sri Lankan Government.
“Many newspapers, TV channels and radio stations are commenting on this gruesome video”, said Pirabhakaran of Inba Tamizhan radio in Sydney, Australia. ‘Questions are being asked, loud and clear, what the international community is going to do now”, he said.

What's a mystery is why GoI is unable to take up issues of this nature with Sri Lanka, firmly?

What happen to the International Community??

And why the UNO keeping quite???

Sutirtho Patranobis, Hindustan Times / Colombo, June 17, 2011.

A government commission examining the last years of the Sri Lankan civil war will look into the Channel 4 documentary that shows footage of alleged war crimes including military personnel executing unarmed men and women and dumping bodies in trucks. The LLRC’s decision to look into the disturbing do cumentary came as China on Friday reiterated its support to the Lanka government on not allowing any external probe into allegations of war crimes. “Chinese President Hu Jintao told President Mahinda Rajapaksa in Petersburg that China opposes external forces trying to interfere in the affairs of Sri Lanka,” Bandula Jayasekara, chief of Rajapaksa’s media cell, said via a cell phone message from Russia.

Reports on Friday said the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) appointed last year by President Mahinda Rajapaksa will get the documentary, Killing Fields of Sri Lanka, examined by experts.

“We will review the film and subject it to our examining. We have been similarly examining documentary evidence such as photographs as part of our routine procedure from time to time including the Channel 4’s previous video,” Lakshman Wickramasinghe, LLRC spokesperson, told PTI in Colombo.

Mladic said he wants to "live to see that I am a free man."
Former Bosnian Serb military chief Gen. Ratko Mladic has told a United Nations war crimes court he is “a gravely ill man” and refused to enter pleas to “obnoxious charges” alleging he orchestrated the worst atrocities of a war that claimed 100,000 lives.
Defence of own people doesn't justify killing of 8,000 innocent Muslim men and children!

The Serb protesters regard the former Bosnian Serb commander as an officer who defended them against Muslims and prevented what they regarded as the spread of Islam over their region.
About 10,000 people held a peaceful protest on Tuesday against the arrest of Gen. Ratko Mladic, calling Serbia’s president a traitor for ordering it.

Many of the demonstrators travelled by bus to Banja Luka, the administrative capital of the Serb—dominated region of Bosnia, to take part in the protest.

All perpetrators of Genocides in history did have fans of their own, without whose encouragement no leader would have dared to indulge in mass-murders, in the name of racial cleansing.

The former Bosnian Serb commander will be extradited to The Hague, Netherlands "as soon as possible," Serbia’s deputy war crimes prosecutor, Bruno Vekaric, told The Associated Press.
Judges have rejected an appeal by war crimes suspect Ratko Mladic seeking to stop his extradition to a U.N. tribunal, a prosecutor said on Tuesday.

The former Bosnian Serb commander will be extradited to The Hague, Netherlands “as soon as possible,” Serbia’s deputy war crimes prosecutor, Bruno Vekaric, told The Associated Press.

The timing of Mladic’s extradition depends on when the Serbian justice minister signs an extradition order, but that is expected to be done quickly, paving the way for his immediate hand—over.

U.N. Tribunal at
The Hague, Netherlands is a fair International Court, where he needs to defend himself.  But, by these delaying tactics he might gain a few days, but cannot escape the long arm of justice against genocide, he has perpetrate during 1992-95.

Ratko Mladic Arrest: son claims former general did not order Srebrenica massacre!

Kindly review “Mayhem of the Miserables!” @ http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52075

 5:14PM BST 29 May 2011

Ratko Mladic's son has claimed his father "had nothing to do with" the slaughter of 8,000 Muslim men and boys at Srebrenica, ahead of the indicted Serbian war criminal's appeal against extradition in Belgrade on Monday.

Darko Mladic insisted that his father, the former commander of the Bosnian Serb military, had actually saved the lives of Muslims and bore no personal responsibility for the 1995 massacre, the worst war crime on European soil since the end of the Second World War.
Gen. Mladic is expected to be extradited to a UN tribunal in The Hague as early as Tuesday to face trial on 11 counts of war crimes, including charges of genocide for the mass murder of captive Muslims in the Bosnian town of Srebrenica.
Oh Yeah, the why was h a fugitive for almost sixteen years until he was arrested by Serbian security forces on 26 May 2011 in Lazarevo, Serbia?

BELGRADE (Reuters) - Bosnian Serb wartime general Ratko Mladic was arrested in Serbia on Thursday after years on the run from international genocide charges, opening the way for the once-pariah state to approach the European mainstream.
The general, accused of orchestrating the massacre of 8,000 Muslim men and boys in the town of Srebrenica and a brutal 43-month siege of Sarajevo during Bosnia's 1992-5 war, was found in a farmhouse owned by a relative, a police official said.
"On behalf of the Republic of Serbia I can announce the arrest of Ratko Mladic. The extradition process is under way," Serbian President Boris Tadic told reporters in Belgrade.
