SENSEX:FIIs bought stocks worth $1 bn in June!

MUMBAI: Foreign funds were net buyers at the Indian equities markets to the tune of $1.014 billion in June, according to data available with the capital markets regulator.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) picked up their buying rate in the last few days of trading in June, when the Indian equities markets saw a rally. The Sensex infact added close to 1,300 points from June 22 to June 30.
The last four trading days alone saw FIIs buying over $1 billion in stocks, according to data available with the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

Here is a caution notice for all those property owners in the city who are running their property transactions based on the B-khata obtained from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) revenue offices.
BBMP commissioner Siddaiah said on Wednesday that according to KMC Act, B-Khata could not be a basis for property registration or for approval of building plans.
“B-khata is just a register maintained by the BBMP to collect taxes from the revenue property holders. The BBMP is not responsible for property transactions based on it as B-khata is not considered as a valid khata extract,” he told the BBMP Council.
True, it only mentions who is paying property taxes, which by no means is an evidence of ownership.

Shedding its conservative shopping habits, Chennai has embraced Internet commerce with a vengeance thanks to the IT savvy generation.
“Among Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, which together constitute 40 per cent of the total business, Chennai tops the list in the number of Internet transactions,” said Arindam Bose, MD of retail portal Timtara.com.
Most e-retailers have reported an increase in online buying from South India, particularly from Chennai, which they say is up by 15 per cent compared to last year.
A report of eBay says that Chennai is the only Southern city to have found a place in the top five destinations doing online transactions.
“Chennai has always been keen to adopt new technologies owing to its increased awareness of these concepts. Hence, despite its conservative outlook, it has been able to embrace Internet commerce with ease as people here understand the technology better, said a senior associate with Indiaplaza.in.
