Fatwa against fasting Muslims using bad languages

Dubai: Fasting Muslims should avoid bad manners or using bad languages during the month of Ramadan because it diminishes its benefits, a new fatwa issued in Abu Dhabi has claimed.

According to the fatwa issued by General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE) in Abu Dhabi, the reason of fasting is to attain fear of Allah, and therefore, the almighty is not in need of people who do not abide by these guidelines.

"One who does not abandon evil talk and actions, then Allah is not in need of him abandoning his food and drink [ie his fasting]," Gulf News quoted the fatwa, as saying.
