1.8.2011 (UNI) A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking action against social activist Anna Hazare for interfering in the constitutional process on the issue of Lokpal Bill.
A petitioner has alleged before the apex court through his petition that threat by Anna Hazare to start fast-unto-death from August 16 in support of his demand for bringing the Prime Minister and the Judiciary within the ambit of Lokpal Bill amounted to blackmailing the government and in democracy Parliament is supreme and only Parliament can make laws after thorough discussions on the floor of the house.
The petition has also contended that civil society members have no authority to insist on the inclusion of their draft on Lokpal bill. UNI
