New Delhi: Ace Indian shooter Gagan Narang will receive the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the Sports Ministry declared on Thursday.
The selection committee for the Khel Ratna and Arjuna awards had in July recommended the name of the Indian marksman, who has started a shooting academy recently.
Narang won four gold medals in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a silver in the men's 10m air rifle singles event at the Asian Games in 2010. He also won a team silver at the Asian Games when he combined with Abhinav Bindra and Sanjeev Rajput in the 10m air rifle event.
