Facilities for neuro-rehabilitation in the country were few and far between considering the number of people who required them. Creating awareness about neuro-rehabilitation systems and providing adequate access to them was need of the hour, Maharaja Gaj Singh-II of Marwar-Jodhpur said here on Saturday.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF)-Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association (DCWA) neuro-rehabilitation centre with a specialised paediatric unit at the DCWA medical centre at Zamrudpur.
“The facility, which is being offered will prove beneficial for a lot of people — not only those with head injuries but also spinal injury patients and those who suffer strokes. The team of medical and support staff that we have here is dedicated to the service of the people,” he said.
