The Intelligence Bureau has alerted the Andhra Pradesh police that the Indian Mujahideen’s shadow outfit, Jam Iyyathul Ansarul Muslimeen, is also active in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
According to the IB, several activists like Bada Sajid, who are part of IM and JIAM modules, are still at large and pose a danger to the country’s internal security.

“Pak ISI-controlled LeT has been able to create modules across the country and recent investigations into incidents of terrorism have revealed that they belong to IM and JIAM. These two outfits function as the Indian front of LeT. The absconding IM and JIAM terrorists may not be present in their native state and may be hiding elsewhere,” said an IB official.
The terror suspects from Bhatkal of Dakshina Karnataka are Riyaz Bhatkal, Mohammed Hussain Farhan, Sultan Shah, Iqbal Bhatkal and Yasin Bhatkal.
