HYDERABAD: The 48-hour Deeksha launched by the Telangana Congress public representatives at Indira Park received widespread political support on Thursday, the last day of the hunger strike.
TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao (MP) and his party leaders E Rajender and T Harish Rao (MLAs) and former MP G Vinod, and suspended TDP legislator Nagam Janardhan Reddy and his followers K Hareeshwar Reddy, S Venugopala Chary and J Ramanna (all MLAs) expressed their solidarity with the fasting Congress leaders.
KCR, wearing Congress party’s scarf around his neck, drew people’s attention at the venue. Besides, there is tremendous response from the crowd which included hundreds of followers of the Congress leaders from all the 10 Telangana districts as soon as KCR and Nagam arrived on the dais.
