RAIL DISASTER: Kalka Mail derails in Uttar Pradesh; 20 passengers dead!

Fatehpur:  15 bogies, including the engine of New Delhi-Howrah Kalka Mail derailed near Malwa railway station in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh today. Railway authorities said at least hundred people are feared injured with several still trapped under the debris. The train was on its way to New Delhi from Howrah when it derailed. 

Latest reports say 20 people have died. The general compartment behind the engine has been badly damaged. Relief measures are on in full swing and local people are cutting the AC coaches with gas cutters to bring out survivors trapped in the bogies. The Army has also been pressed into service with medical supplies being rushed to the area. Railway Board Chairman is also heading to the spot.
