POST RESHUFFLE: Centre is set to appoint half-a-dozen governors!

After the Cabinet reshuffle, the government is working on appointing about half-a-dozen governors before the Monsoon Session of Parliament, beginning August 1.
According to well-placed soruces, the new appointments could be made any time in the next eight days. Loyalty (to the Congress) and seniority would be the main criteria for the gubernatorial posts.
The term of incumbent governors of Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Kerala and Mizoram is already over while Rajasthan does not have a full-fledged governor.
Madhya Pradesh governor Rameshwar Thakur, who was appointed as governor in 2004, had worked in Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in the gubernatorial posts in these years.
