They did not want a second girl child and claimed she was ‘disturbing' them

Swathi and Ravinder, the parents who allegedly killed their three-month old infant daughter by dumping her into a water sump of their rented house in the Bhagathnagar of Karimnagar, were produced before the media on Friday.
Wanted a boy
Disclosing the news of the arrest of the couple, Karimnagar Officer on Special Duty (OSD- crimes) D. V. Srinivasa Rao and Two Town Circle Inspector (CI) K. Srinivas said that the couple were unhappy that their second delivery was also of a girl child.
They already have a three-year old girl and were expecting a male child the second time.
