Two days after they made their first arrest in the three-year-old cash-for-votes scandal, the Delhi Police, on Tuesday, issued a notice to former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker Suhail Hindustani to join investigations. Sources in the Delhi Police Crime Branch, which is probing the matter, said Hindustani was likely to get arrested soon after being questioned on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, investigators are understood to be seeking the union home ministry's directions before they question Amar Singh and Ashok Argal, both sitting Members of Parliament, (MPs) in the case.

"While a letter had been sent to the Home Ministry a couple of days ago, seeking its views and directions on questioning Singh and Argal, Hindustani is likely to be arrested tomorrow," said a senior Delhi Police officer requesting anonymity.
