The Congress on Saturday steered clear of the controversy over the attendance of 28 of its legislators at the inaugural meet of the outfit launched by Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

“You ask the Congress General Secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh,” Congress spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed said here on the presence of 20 rebel MLAs, two MPs and six MLCs at the meet.

On Friday, at the first plenary of the Jaganmohan-led YSR Congress Party at Idupulapaya, the private estate of the Reddy family, in Kadapa district, YSR’s son took the Congress head on.

Congress Leadership lacks spine and hence cannot impose discipline on its erring cadres, especially those elected on its tickets and are openly declaring their loyalty to others!
