A team of doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) would visit Chennai to probe the circumstances that led to the death of Sadiq Batcha, a close aide of former telecom minister A. Raja arrested in 2G spectrum allocation scam case.
According to sources in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the 2G scam and Batcha's sudden death to find out if both were linked, the panel of doctors would examine the viscera and the post-mortem examination of Batcha, 38.

The development comes after the CBI found evidences suggesting some foul play in Batcha's death, sources said. He could have been a key source in unravelling the 2G scam money trail but was found hanging at his residence in Chennai on March 16, 2011.
