Mumbai: Investigators from agencies like the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad, the Mumbai Crime Branch, the Intelligence Bureau and the National Investigation Agency have started questioning the aides of Dr Jalees Ansari alias Dr Bomb spread across the country.
Ansari, who is presently lodged at the Ajmer jail and is believed to have masterminded more than 60 blasts across the country, had indoctrinated a large number of people and had a vast network of people working for him. Many of them, who have been arrested and are lodged in jails, are being questioned. The ones who have been released from jail are also being picked up for questioning to see if the investigators can get any leads in the three blasts that took place in the city on July13.
"All possible efforts are being taken across the state and the country. People who have had links with terror groups or organisations are being picked up and questioned to check if they are involved in, or have any idea about the group involved in, executing the blasts. The ones in jail are also being questioned," said a senior police officer.
