Please Join India’s Anti-corruption Movement; Kindly sign “Save Lokpal Bill” @
On May 04, 2011, I posted the following:-
The Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev’s Agenda of 'Bhrastachar Mitao Satyagrah' are as follows:-
1) A neutral and empowered Jan Lokpal Bill, which has the authority to recover black money and send offenders to prison.
2) The black money that is deposited in the foreign banks should be declared national property by the government, and no Indian citizen should be allowed to deposit money in foreign banks with illegal methods. If anybody does that, he should be declared an anti-national".
3) India’s signing of the United Nations Convention on anti-corruption, and said it should be passed in the Indian Parliament.
All the above demands are long due adaptation and we should all support his movement for this, except I personally don’t think he should go on a Huger Strike, unto death
When Yesterday, he announced that, anyway, he was going ahead with his fast-onto-death, I posted the following:-
Since this is a 'Satyagraha' to force the, otherwise, dodgy government to bring back Lakhs of crores of sleaze money parked abroad, by the India's corrupt politicos, bureaucrats, corporates, businessmen, industrialists, celebrities, et al, civil society will support you.
Still most of us oppose your statement, after meeting Pranab Mukherjee, Yesterday, exempting the office of PM under the ambit of Lok Pal.

Between last Night and this Night, there have been many debates on Social Media, Multi-Media and Print Media.
01) There are some who supported him, without any Second Thoughts like Anna Hazare, Anupam Kher, Kiran Bedi, RSS, BJP, etc. only to name a few.
02) Likewise, there are others who opposed his fast, raising several questions about his method of fasting, his means of funding, his prices of medicines sold by him, the chemical ingredients in those medicines and finally his own past of acquiring vast tracts of lands in India and atleast One Scottish Island.
03) And there are those who said they would support his anti-corruption fast provided, he refuse support from the Hindu Rightists.
04) There is the fourth lot who said that Ramdev is being propped up by the UPA to upstage Anna; hence he shouldn’t be encouraged to fight corruption in his own way.
05) And the fifth lot would say that instead of confining his activities to the teaching of Yoga, he became ambitious and started or about to start a political party of his own and this Tomorrow’s fast-unto-death drama is to use it as a launching pad for achieving his political ambitions.
My response to each of the above is as follows:-
A) I support his fast irrespective of whys and wherefores, for as long as he sticks to his original agenda, as listed above, from his own statement.
As to all other demands like weeding out English and replacing the same with Hindi, we simply ignore.
As someone who speaks four Indian Languages including Hindi, I only pity who wish to rub Hindi onto the whole of India, just because they themselves cannot speak any other Language, other than Hindi.
B) As to his own misdeeds, if any, as detailed in point no. 02), if media has any specific allegations, it can expose him and continue to do so till the Authorities Investigate, failing which intervention of Courts can be sought.
And those of us, who support him in his fast against corruption, wouldn't support him of his corrupt practices if proved. We only support him if his deeds do good to the Society and not otherwise.
C) To the third lot who put certain pre-conditions for support, all would say re-quote my tweet of Today, “People of so frustrated, it doesn’t matter who raises voice against corruption, they will support”.
D) To the fourth lot, my response is, Anna himself hasn’t felt anything wrong about supporting Ramdev and he too wouldn’t support him if he has something to be ashamed of.
And raising bogey a between Anna and Ramdev, they are simply trying to divide the movement based on extraneous reasons based on unfounded doubts.
E) To the last lot, my response is this is Democratic Indian Republic, where anyone and everyone has a right to form a political party and aspire to take over the Administration; in the past well-known personalities from other fields to tried, while some succeeded and other failed.
Except, Ramdev’s party may not get my vote, it is too early to say, either way.
I, personally, believe that people definitely are restive and they are no more in a mood to accept mere promises or filibustering talks and they demand concrete action against the corruption within our own system, that has been entrenched for so long and been preventing our Society from progressing.
If Ramdev goes ahead with his fast-onto-death, against corruption, to bring back all the black money stashed abroad and formally sign the UN treaty, we all will support him.
If he, again, flip-flops like he did Yesterday, on PM to be exempted from being include within the purview of Lok Pal Bill and turning around, tangentially, within a few hours, he would not get any support from us.
For all I care, even if all the notorious convicted criminals of India and abroad support our Anti-Corruption Movement, we welcome – irrespective of their political, skin & dress colour or of any strain differential.
Finally, let the debates be stopped and wait for the response of the people for, we live in a Democracy and ultimately it is the people who decide on whom to support.
