Instead of apologising for the grave insult they have meted out to the martyred polce Jawans, the government right from the C.M. to the DM / SSP, have been trying to explain it away in a casual manner!
After all, they are only Jawans and not officers and we are a heavily hierarchical soceity, to the core!!

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh today denied allegations of disrespect towards four martyred policemen whose bodies were reportedly carried in a garbage truck, even as Opposition Congress demanded a probe into the incident. The four personnel, including an inspector, were killed by Maoists on Sunday in a landmine blast targeting their vehicle in Dantewada district.
"Collector has specified it clearly that it was a new truck, it was cleaned and decorated with flowers. They were given farewell with respect. It was a new truck, a multi purpose truck," Singh said."Once the collector has specified it, there is nothing more to say," he said.
