Under attack for his proposal to raise an armed force, Baba Ramdev on Thursday said he was not trying to train terrorists or Maoists but only wanting to set up a “nationalist” force.
“I am not making terrorists, Naxalites and Maoists. I am only developing a nationalist force. It is for self-defence,” Baba Ramdev, who is continuing his fast against corruption, told his followers at Patanjali Yogapeeth.
He was reacting to a volley of criticism on his plans to raise a 11,000-strong force to deal with police and anti-social elements attempting to disrupt his anti-corruption campaign.
My Take:
01) Raising any form of private army (fauz) attracts Indian sedition laws, hence we do not support any talk of it since weonly believe in "Satyagraha" and "Ahimsa".
02) Yes, even Ramdev doesn't believe what he said of it as, he is capable of only training them how to jump-off the stage, hide among the women, try to escape in women's cloths to avoid possible police detention, finally caught to be escorted to Haridwar and then talk loud of his bravery and imparting the same bravery to 11,000 to start with and if necessary later to 11,00,000 youth.
03) True "Satyagrahis" who believe in "Ahimsa", however, are no cowards for, they would face the police lathi-charge or tear-gas and would stay put even when they know that police would arrest them.
04) The less Ramdev talks of Anti-Corruption Movement the better as he has already tried to relegate this noble fight into theatrics.
05) Now like all other accused of commissions or omissions, he too would be investigated without fear or favour.
