Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is taking questions again.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, known to be soft-spoken and a little reclusive, appears to be trying to revive a plan to meet with journalists more often as part of the government’s overall efforts to be more responsive in the face of criticism on corruption and inflation.
The idea of having regular confabs was floated last year but appeared to have been dropped after a gathering with newspaper editors led to some unwanted news stories. In February, the PM had a televised presser, but since then he’s been largely silent except for speeches at official dos. In an interview with NDTV that aired on Sunday, Home Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram suggested Mr. Singh needed to be more visible.
On Tuesday, news reports said that Mr. Singh was going to resume regular meetings with the press, and the first such session took place this morning. As the Prime Minister begins a new public relations effort, here’s what folks in the field of image management and India Real Time advise.
