ANTI, Anti Corruption Movement: The Next Strategy of Congress Goebbelss!

Please Join us in India’s Anti-corruption Movement; Kindly sign “Save Lokpal Bill” @

After watching all the debates of this Evening, I observed a new pattern of attack emerging against the 'Civil Society' that has been demanding a 'Comprehensive Lok Pal Bill' that encompasses in its gamut all the constitutional office holders and outlawing the black-money to bring it back from abroad and as well as ferret-it-out that is well within Indian boundaries.

The incorrigible elite singing the song that in a Parliamentary democracy there is no scope for pressure groups and repeating the rudimentary facts like, Parliament alone enacts the Laws and the civil society doesn't have any business to tell what the Government should do.  My School-going niece too knows these fundamentals of our democratic system.  But, what she and these elite do not know is that those so-called pressure groups that have been causing the tectonic changes in many policies by the otherwise ignorant and inert governments, across the globe, throughout the human history.  The cases in point, of recent origin, are 'Climate Change' and the subsequent 'Global Warming Phenomenon',  Corporate conspiracy in dumping the water-guzzling and failure-prone GM seeds on to the heads of innocent farmers who have been committing suicides for this reason as well as for being forced to depend on the blood-sucking micro-finance firms and the local Shylocks, greedy industries and short-sighted municipalities polluting our water resources - both the rivers and the ground water bodies as well as the surface along with the atmosphere, honour killings, anti Arrack movements, child marriages, literacy, gender discrimination, rural livelihoods, women empowerment and all other such issues of social and / or economic importance.

Gone are the days a voter wait for five years to decide on whom s/he should  elect as her/his next governments (this is for those who have been harping on hustings).

Since Independence, two full generations have passed by, without our policy makers addressing the core issues of inclusive growth, eradication of al-round corruption at all levels and planes, bringing out the sleaze money stashed away abroad and / or in India - which if inducted into the Indian economy could root out the very basis of disparity of incomes and assure socio-economic security of the otherwise voice less majority.

For the last two generations, our 5-star Indian elite who were never known to have addressed, seriously, any of the above core issues of National importance, save in interviews, debates, seminars, et al are now  resisting such policy shift.  Now their problem is that the issue is no more in their hands and that has become an issue between the common citizens and the corrupt and inept public representatives, lacking political will to address the gangrene of India.

And ganging up with these elite are the Congress Goebbelss, challenging the members of the civil society to fight them as they know with the kind of sleaze money at their disposal they can arm-twist, murder, terrorise and booth capture and win any election, against the persons with integrity who lived off their honest earnings, without aspiring any political office or dealing in sleaze money.

The fact that Rs. 350 Cores had been spent within two weeks for the election of one MLA for AP State Legislature and one MP speaks volumes of their nefarious capabilities.  If you have observed carefully, the bundles of large notes amounting to scores of crores of rupees caught in AP, TN and elsewhere all do carry the bank seals, which fact just means the black money stashed away abroad may be far less than the black money concealed within India, but not at homes, or in some, literally, underground safe-houses, as we see in movies but in the Indian banks, licensed by RBI.  Especially scores of crores caught on the way to Kadapa were being brought from the banks of Hyderabad and Bangalore, freshly withdrawn from the banks.

My advise to the Congress Managers and their spokes persons is to stop attempt to divert the core issues through specious arguments or by challenging us, as we refuse to take your challenge because we have chosen to be apolitical and will not be provoked to enter the murky politics.  As we are the prisoners of our consciousness, we shall continue to raise our voices against all the listed evils, forming as India's gangrene and unlike some we will not resist arrest, nor run-away from the scene, leaving our associates in the lurch.

Please remember that the The Indian Emergency of 25 June 1975 – 21 March 1977 hasn't saved the Indira Gandhi's own seat let alone her government.

Go ahead and bring in another Emergency, 2011.....lock up everyone who asks for constitutional change for a transparent and equitable governance not dependent on corruption, crony-capitalism, sleaze money and  murky politics.

You can even repeat the Midnight mayhems across India and it may allow your continuance in power, for a while but not a worthy name in the History.

Indira Gandhi, despite Emergency is still revered for, she really has left her mark in the reforms,  and you, Dr. Manmohan Singh, your own reforms have caused the Juggernaut of rapid and Ecologically Irresponsible Industrialisation and the infrastructure development, while trampling the socio-economic interests of the downtrodden, creating a very vast chasm between the rich and the poor, totally eliminating the latter from the inclusive growth (I am referring to your Mrs. Sonia's Gandhi's considered opinion on this).

You are an honest person but Sir, 'my not eating grass is alone isn't sufficient for me to be able to lead a clean and effective government'.  Sometime back when I was in Agartala, both my bureaucrat and business friends, there,  were uniformly cribbing that Manik Sarkar not only doesn't take bribes but also ensures that all his ministers, MLAs and all government servants are also clean.  Smt. Panchali Sarkar even today goes to her office in a rickshaw and returns home the same way.  And never allowed any security, while on road, or in office or at home or even when she goes to buy her vegetables.

Now let not your Cabinet or Congress Colleagues make you do that historical blunder of bringing out a shoddy Lok Pal Act without it having jurisdiction on all High Political Offices under the constitution of India.  Or you will go down in the history as a premier who hasn't cared to address the real core issues of the Nation, despite having been enlighten on them.
