Ever since, the news of Osama Bin Laden having been killed the Indian Foreign Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna has been harping on India’s intent to normalize its relations with Pakistan, as they were not normal, already.
As for as I am concerned, relations between the people of Pakistan and India have always been very cordial, warm and friendly. Indians visiting Pakistan have always been treated with respect, love and affection by the Pakistani people. Likewise, visiting Pakistanis have always been welcomed by the Indian people, especially when they come to Hyderabad for critical surgeries for their infants, our heart had bleed for their children and we did extended a very warm hospitality to them. And this attitude towards each others will continue, irrespective of what the respective governments talk, for political purposes.
Problem is only with the successive governments on both sides. Cricket Diplomacy and all that jazz haven’t cut any ice with Pakistan and any such approach would only make us fool, in the eyes of the public. When Pakistani Government, its Military and I.S.I. do not wish to have normal relations with Indian Government, Military and it s Intelligence Forces, why India should chase them for normalizing the relations between the two countries.
Now, with the Americans taking direct action, India should too start taking direct action against the Terrorists operating out of Pakistan or hope that Pakistani Administration would change his heart, overnight, and round up all terrorist on their soil and handover, those who have committed crimes in and against India, to India and prosecute others under Pakistani Laws to put them behind bars, permanently.
As the latter option is highly inconceivable as much as expecting America to Intervene in favour of India to persuade Pakistan to normalize its ties with India, India should adapt the former option and start striking. And finally we need to remember that USA failed to convince Pakistan to handover it Osama Bin Laden, Ibrahim Dawood and a host of other internally notorious gangsters or terrorists.
