New Delhi, May 9 (PTI) The Supreme Court today directed a preliminary CBI inquiry into allegations of misconduct against former UP IAS officer Ravi Mathur for alleged corrupt practices.
A bench of justices G S Singhvi and B S Chauhan said in a judgement CBI can proceed with criminal prosecution if during the preliminary inquiry any substance is made out against Mathur who has since retired.
