For granting bail, there may be guidelines to show some leniency to "women, old people, children” but, not to someone who went out of the way to protect A. Raja from being dropped from the Union Cabinet or being arrested and charge sheeted, for his crimes. Now you accept that A. Raja indulged in mass-scale 2G spectrum scam and should take total blame but not the women has been the brain behind the whole scam, because she happens to be the daughter of DMK Chief?
Please note that under Indian Laws being a woman is no automatic escape from punishment nor are there any laws with gender biased punishments and exemptions.
