• It's going to be a long day for DMK supremo M. Karunanidhi.
  His daughter Kanimozhi was today denied bail in the 2G scam by a CBI court which also issued an immediate arrest order, directing an appearance at 10 am tomorrow. According to reports, she could be heading for New Delhi's notorious Tihar prison.
  Also going to jail 'right away' is Sharad Kumar, MD and CEO of Kalaignar TV.
  "The bail applications are dismissed. Both the accused be taken into custody forthwith," Special CBI Judge O.P. Saini said.
  The DMK MP, wearing an orange salwar suit, looked stunned after the CBI judge pronounced his order and was consoled by her family members, including husband Aravindan. DMK party members, including its parliamentary party chief T.R. Baalu, was present in the court.
  Minutes after the court pronounced its order, some DMK supporters outside broke down 
  Yes, there shouldn't be any gender biased treatment for perpetrators of the crimes against public exchequer.  I am not surprised that her father's party is rejected, thoroughly, by her state's voters.
