However, it refers to the Samjauta Express tragedy
The Congress on Monday distanced itself from the party general secretary Digvijay Singh's remarks on the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), which he accused of making bombs and, possibly, being involved in last week's explosions in Mumbai. Party spokesperson Manish Tewari said, “It would be better if you ask him.”

However, Mr. Tewari chose to refer to the Samjauta Express tragedy, for which Hindu terror groups have been held responsible. “I would definitely like to underscore that the Samjhauta Express .. is a case in point where the involvement of certain individuals and certain organisations which have upward linkages have now been established through the investigative process.”

Probe needed

On the death of a blast suspect in police custody in Mumbai, Mr. Tewari said, “What happened with regard to the person who died in the police custody is most unfortunate. I think it should be properly investigated and if at all there is a custodial torture angle to it, which the Mumbai police are disclaiming, then all those who are responsible must be brought to book.”

STREET FIGHTS: Digvijaya Singh slapped me, says BJP worker!

NDTV Correspondent, Updated: July 18, 2011 15:39 IST.

Shajapur, MP:  Jayant Aggarwal is unlikely to forget his encounter with senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh. "He got down from his vehicle, walked towards us and then he slapped me", claims Mr Aggarwal, who lives in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

Mr Aggarwal was among the BJP activists who heckled Digvijaya Singh when the Congress leader visited Ujjain over the weekend. Mr Singh said that he does not rule out the possibility of the BJP's parent body, the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) being involved in last week's serial blasts in Mumbai.

Newspaper reports said that Mr Singh was unrepentant after slapping the BJP's youth workers who protested against him. "I am not weak", he is quoted as saying.

In one of his Telly Interviews, he has claimed he started his political career with street fights and now he proves it!

POLITICS OVER TERROR: BJP workers raise black flags against Digvijaya Singh!

NDTV Correspondent, Updated: July 18, 2011 10:46 IST.

Shajapur:  Bharti Yuva Morcha members raised black flags against senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for his alleged comments that RSS was "making bomb factories" and their role should be probed in connection with the Mumbai serial blasts.

BJP and RSS workers protested in Shajapur in Madhya Pradesh, where Digvijaya reached late night yesterday. Some BJP and RSS workers waving black flags surrounded Digvijaya's car, later the protests turned violent as clashes occurred between Congress workers and the BJP, RSS men. The police had to lathicharge to bring the situation under control.

01) It was a fact that in the past a few terror attacks on Masques were traced to the radical elements of RSS;

02) It was also a fact that several other terror attacks were traced to the socalled Islamist Terrorists;

03) In the absence of any terror outfit - known or unknown - claiming responsibility for the July 13th., Mumbai Triple Bomb Blasts we have to wait till the current probe confirms who were behind those heinous acts;

04) Only for that reason both Maharastra Government and Government of India has refused to make any guesses on that;

05) In the meanwhile, as if he knows everything- through clairvoyance, Mr. Digvijaya Singh pointing his fingers towards RSS is not only not called for but also highly irresponsible!

06) And finally, knowing what type of a lose canon he is RSS or BJP need not take his lose talk seriously!

LOSE CANON: Digvijaya Singh chiding RSS to appease Sonia!

Express News Service , The New Indian Express / Posted on Jul 17, 2011 at 11:57am IST.

HUBLI: BJP leaders at the state executive, which concluded here on Saturday, condemned the reported statement of AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, who alleged that the RSS was behind Wednesday's Mumbai serial bomb blasts. "Singh has lost his mental balance and is making such frivolous charges only to stamp his authority in Congress and to get closer to Sonia Gandhi," Ravi claimed. The state BJP executive, meanwhile, has resolved to provide better infrastructure facilities at the district headquarters, as rapid urbanisation was the topic of discussion. Realising that around one-third of the state's population was residing in urban areas, the meeting stressed that the government cannot neglect the welfare of poor people living there.Briefing the media about deliberations in the executive, state general secretary, C T Ravi stated that Suresh Kumar had chaired a session that had considered the problems being faced by the urban poor, and felt that migration of people to cities should be stopped. Members participated in a discussion which suggested that developing suburban areas should decongest, and in turn, ease the pressure on rapidly growing cities.

The Attack on Mumbai is the Attack on Indian Nation and the immature politicos take pot shots at each other like there is no Tomorrow!

Digvijay Singh in the past too babbled about many things of which he claimed he had evidence and not once was he able to produce the same.

His talks need not be take seriously and rebutted by RSS or any other entity, as ultimately it is the NIA, Mumbai ATS & Police who will bring out the truth not him, you or I!

New Delhi:  Suresh Kalmadi, in jail for corruption related to the Commonwealth Games, has found a voice of support. Digvijaya Singh, his party's General Secretary, said today that he is sure Mr Kalmadi is innocent and should get bail.

"We feel sorry for Suresh Kalmadi who is suffering hardships, and also for Ashok Chavan. In my personal opinion, both of them are innocent. But whenever any corruption charges are levelled, Sonia ji has to take action," Digvijaya Singh said addressing party workers in Pune, which is Mr Kalmadi's turf.

Mr Kalmadi became the face of the Commonwealth Games that were held in September last year. They were anchored in mismanagement and sweetheart deals to firms that provided equipment and services for the different venues and events.(Watch: CWG scam - Suresh Kalmadi to pay for the losses?)

Congress High Command is said to have sought explanation from Digvijaya on clearing the names of the fallen Congress leaders!

RAHUL FOR PM: Sycophants see survival in Rahul succession - Prabhu Chawla!

Who is in such a hurry to make Rahul Gandhi the prime minister? His mother, Sonia Gandhi? The Congress Party? Or those who conduct opinion polls? Constitutionally, there is no bar on Rahul from becoming prime minister. He is an elected Lok Sabha member. His party has 206-odd MPs who will be too willing to elect him as their leader. UPA’s allies can write to the President extending their unconditional support to Rahul. But in Congress culture, such constitutional niceties are often ignored or forgotten. No decision has been taken to topple Prime Minister Manmohan Singh through press statements. The allies haven’t met to express their non-confidence in him. But last week, Digvijaya Singh, known best for his destabilising acumen, unnerved the Government when he said that Rahul had matured and acquired all the necessary qualities to become prime minister. Diggy forgot that there is no vacancy. Manmohan Singh has no plans to quit in favour of the prime minister-in-waiting either. Both Sonia and Rahul have expressed their full confidence in Manmohan Singh’s ability to lead the Government. Since she herself gave up the top job, Sonia can’t be faulted for inspiring the sudden sycophantic swing in Rahul’s favour.
Then, why is it that some Congress leaders associated with the Gandhi Parivar miss no opportunity to remind people that Manmohan Singh is a night watchman and Rahul will soon replace him? That too, at a time when the Government and the party are struggling to defend themselves from an aggressive opposition and an agitated civil society over corruption and non-governance? When in power, Congressmen enjoy the present, but they always plot and conspire to secure their future too. For majority of them, Manmohan Singh is a soon-to-be-past prime minister. Digvijaya and his clones are emboldened by opinion poll results on Rahul’s rising popularity—barely a seven-year-old in politics, Rahul has become the most sought after youth icon in the country. With little administrative experience or ideological conviction, he is surprisingly perceived as India’s best prime ministerial candidate, leaving the incumbent prime minister far behind. More Congress leaders, chief ministers, Union ministers and even civil servants are seen hovering around 12 Tughlak Lane, Rahul’s official address, than at 7 Race Course Road.

But, Dr. Subramanian Swamy sees a fundamental legal restriction from Rahul ever becoming a PM!

DIGVIJAYA UVACHA: Unheard of that Finance Minister's office is tapped!

Sreenivasan Jain, Updated: June 23, 2011 10:16 IST / NDTV.

New Delhi:  While Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee may be playing down the controversy over his office being tapped, Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh says it is unheard of, and that an enquiry must be ordered in the incident.

He speaks exclusively to NDTV's Sreenivasan Jain.

NDTV: Mr Singh, this is also been seen at some level that all is not well within the Congress and the UPA parivar, and there are questions being asked about the leadership; there are questions being asked about the division within the UPA. Take this entire business of the suspected tapping of the Finance Minister's office - I know it is something which is been there in the news but  it has now surfaced in a much more categorical way. Were you as appalled when you read that news as the rest of the country?

Digvijaya Singh: I'm naturally surprised that Finance Minister's office may be tapped or may be bugged. This is something unheard of and I think the government should take a sort of a view on this and look into this and should enquire into, after all, who is responsible for this?

PTI / The Hindu.

Amid growing differences with civil society members on the proposed Lokpal Bill, the government on Thursday held a series of meetings to formulate a strategy to handle the ticklish issue.
Union Minister Kapil Sibal and AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh hours after Anna Hazare accused the UPA of “playing tricks” with people of the country and questioned the rationale behind sending two versions of Lokpal Bill to the Cabinet for consideration.
However, both the leaders remained tightlipped on what transpired in the meeting. The Group of Ministers on Media also met at noon and is learnt to have decided to follow a ’wait and watch’ policy to the unfolding situation and not be hurried in its response.
A day after the “deadlocked” meeting of the joint drafting committee on Lokpal Bill, Mr Hazare alleged that the government was “playing tricks” and he would have to restart protest if a “weak” anti-corruption legislation is cleared by the government.
After the government and civil society failed to achieve any common ground at the sixth meeting yesterday, it was decided to forward two versions of the Bill to the Cabinet for its consideration.
It seems, with alround condemnation of the smear campaign he lead on behalf of Congress, he has reasonably toned down his belligerence!
Its hightime that Team-Anna too cool down its tempers and look forward to the bigger battle that would take place in Parliament on Lokpal.

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA, EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

Bhopal, Guna: Continuing his tirade against Baba Ramdev even after the latter called off his fast, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said that he was happy that the nautanki (drama) has ended. “If he wants to continue his campaign (against black money) then why did he call off his fast? If he had to call off his fast why did he did begin it,” he asked, taking a dig at the yoga guru.

Singh asked Baba to name the person who had secretly donated him a helicopter. He accused Ramdev of turning the black money received as donations, into white. “Baba, who is demanding that the names of the people with black money should be made public, should name the person who had secretly donated a helicopter to him,” Singh told reporters at his hometown in Raghogarh on Saturday evening. “Baba is bringing secret donations (black money) under the tax free category,...

BHOPAL: Congress general secretary Digvijay SinghSunday termed yoga guru Baba Ramdev's nine-day fast against corruption a 'nautanki' (drama).

Singh was returning to Delhi on a special plane when he spoke to reporters at Raja Bhoj airport on Ramdev's fast in Haridwar.

"If he had to continue his agitation then he should not have broken his fast. And if he had kept a fast for some demands then he should not have broken it without its fulfillment. It was all a nautanki," said the Congress general secretary.

Lose talk won't divert the public attention from the twin-core issues of 'Corruption at all levels and Planes' and 'Black Money, stashed away - both abroad and in India'.

Sharpening his attack on Baba Ramdev, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Saturday dubbed his indefinite fast as a “five-star satyagraha” sponsored by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) to divert people’s attention from “Sanghi terror”.
“Now it is absolutely clear as to what are the credentials of Baba Ramdev. He is now openly supported by RSS, BJP and VHP,” Mr. Singh told reporters.
He alleged that this campaign by VHP and RSS “is to undo the Constitution and Parliamentary democracy by encouraging people like Baba Ramdev to go on such fast.”
Mr. Singh,
01) Please don't try to divert the main issues:  Corruption & Black Money;
02) Does it, really, matter who sponsored this?  Please note that there are some Muslims & Jains too are present there in 'Ram Lila Grounds', at this moment, because they are more focussed on the issues at hand.
03) Why don't you come out with some concrete action plan against the gangrene of India, i.e. Corruption at all levels and planes and Black Money abroad and in India?
04) Note:  I, personally, am opposed to all kinds of radical religious entities and hate who bombed Masques, killing scores of innocents - here in India and elsewhere!
