Rejecting the allegations levelled against JSW Steel in the Karnataka Lokayukta report, the Sajjan Jindal-led firm on Thursday said it was “appalled and concerned with the untenable conclusions” drawn in the report.

Giving its rebuttal on allegations of seeking favours to get iron ore mining leases and other illegal actions made in the report, the company claimed itself as an aggrieved party that had not been allotted a single captive mine despite being the biggest investor in the State.

“However, it is not looking at taking legal recourse for now but it may do so in future, JSW Steel's Joint Managing Director M.V.S. Seshagiri Rao told journalists here.

He, however, evaded direct answers to questions on his firm's transactions with former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa's sons, son-in-law and other family members.

When asked about the accusations of paying excess money to former Mr. Yeddyurappa's sons for buying an acre of land, eventually which triggered resignation of the BJP leader, Mr. Rao claimed that the company paid market price and was willing to make its sale deed agreement public.

Indian Army commander Lieutenant-General Syed Ata Hasnain addresses the media over the alleged kidnap and rape of a woman by army personnel in the Kulgam District of Jammu and Kashmir - AFP.

The army has initiated an internal probe after a woman alleged abduction and rape by two men in uniform in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, a top army official said on Friday while hinting it could be an attempt to destroy the peace.

"I want to make it clear that this is an allegation and if there is truth in it, then it is a criminal act which warrants strict action against the guilty," Lt Gen S.A. Hasnain, general officer commanding (GOC) 15th Corps, said at a press conference here Friday.

"The army is giving full cooperation to police and the state government. We have also ordered our own probe into the incident."

Rukaya Bano, a married woman said to be aged around 30, has alleged in south Kashmir's Kulgam district that she had been abducted on Tuesday and raped by two army men who had detained her in a meadow hutment for two days. There was a complete shutdown in Kulgam town on Friday where tensions are high because of the alleged incident.

Hasnain said here, "Damhal Hanjipora police station has filed an FIR of abduction and rape against two unknown uniformed men.

• Three weeks after he was ousted amid bedlam, yoga guru Baba Ramdev returned to the capital on Sunday and accused police of having tried to kill him and rape women when they broke up a protest by him and thousands against corruption earlier this month.
  Vocally and visibly aggressive, Ramdev denied accusations that he had illegally organised a massive protest at the Ramlila ground here and also challenged the government to unearth black money if he had any.
  The government, the saffron-robbed man said, was not keen to wage a war on corruption or bring back black money stashed abroad by Indians.
  "At Ramlila Maidan, the police did not come to arrest me, they wanted to kill me," Ramdev told a news conference here, detailing events that shook the city after the midnight of June 4.
  He added that police attacked his supporters when they tried to extinguish the fires that erupted on the stage after tear gas had been fired at the gathering.

01) He should know that he has lost his credibility, irretrievably, when he had jumped off the stage, hid among the women (endangering them, further) and tried to escape, in women's cloths, from being detained by the Delhi Police, during that eventful Midnight Mayhem at Ramlila Maidan!

02) There had been round-the-clock coverage of all the News Channels and C.C. Cameras but not one footage has shown any attempted rape or murder as this man, who suffers from some kind of hallucination, would want us to believe.  

03) Further, there were nearly 10,000 people surrounding him at that time and there was not a single mention of any such attempt to murder or rape during the nearly Three Week period since the event has happened.

04) Yes, on that fateful Night Delhi Police, did, have used tear gas shells and brutally lathi-charged the peacefully, sleeping supporters of Ramdev's Darna.

05) Ramdev's present aggression stems from being cornered with investigations into his corporate empire, the connected shady dealings and his partner, Balakrishna of having multiple, fake passports. 

06) Like this socalled Yogi who had wilted within One Week while on fast, he would whimper, once  more revelations come out of the ongoing investigations on him and his associate!!

Supreme Court questions Dinakaran, the Chief Justice accused of Corruption!!

The Supreme Court on Thursday questioned Sikkim High Court Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran for seeking recusal of one of the members in Rajya Sabha-appointed panel, probing charges of judicial misconduct and corruption against him, 14 months after it was constituted.

“You could have raised the objection in January 2010 when the panel was formed or later. We are not dealing with a person of ordinary mind. He is a legally trained mind,” a vacation bench headed by Justice G. S. Singhvi said.

Justice Dinakaran, 61, pleaded that one of the three members of the committee, senior advocate P.P. Rao, should be recused as he had campaigned against his elevation to the Supreme Court which was later put on hold.

He said there is “reasonable” apprehension of bias against him with the presence of Mr. Rao on the panel.

The artful dodger he is, escaping the investigations, for too long, with his legal knowledge!

Rahul Gandhi's allegations of Rape and Mass burning of Farmers need to be substantiated!

When I posted, "250-300 Farmers have been kidnapped by Mayawati Police, in Villages, Bhatta & Parsaul, near Agra, UP!" (@http://prmadhura3.blogspot.com/2011/05/250-300-farmers-have-been-kidnapped-by.html )on May 08, 2011 (midnight), I only knew that the missing farmers were detained by the police who also refused to confirm the fact that they have detained them.

Now Multimedia's ‘ ground reality check’ confirms that farmers could have deserted their villages for fear of police detentions.  If this to be true, my conjecture of illegal police detention was wrong.  However, I still hold that there had been police brutality against the farmers and also in destroying the properties and crops as well as some farmers being illegally detained by the police.

But now Rahul Gandhi alleges that there was a mass scale burning of farmers, alive, as well along with raping of women, there.  As evidence he has also released some photographs of the burnt heap purportedly of the farmers bodies.  The samples need to be tested at forensic laboratories.

 

I sincerely wish that apart form usage of excessive force, police haven’t really indulged in any mass scale genocide and these allegation of Rahul to be from an over-enthusiastic rival of Mayawati, with his belatedly invented framers cause.

Anyway to arrive at truth an independent citizens investigative committee along with media should conduct a thorough probe to publish facts.
